What’s happening in 2018?

Good morning, Good evening, Goodnight. No matter what time it is for you at the time of reading this, I hope you’re having an absolutely wonderful day!

So, how are we all? Obviously, the Easter season is over now and with that, we have bigger and better things; so I thought, today I’d spend a little bit of time talking about what sort of things are happening in my life over the next few weeks/months- and if you feel like it, you can even feel free to leave what you’ll be up to in the comments down below!

The first month of ‘Wannabe Different’!

From April the Eighth to the Eighth of May, I’ll be writing a piece known as ‘thirty days of the things you say you’ll always do, yet never do.’ and in that spirit, on Sunday I’ll be releasing a second post about how you can do it too!

It won’t be anything out of the ordinary! Just an invitation for you to select your own thirty-day challenge to participate alongside me.

‘Wicked Writers Competition’ Results!

Last month, I entered a competition for young writers known as the ‘Wicked Young Writer Awards’ and the week starting Monday the Seventh of May. Arguably, I don’t believe that I could take the win, but it’s nice to look forward to. If you’re curious to find out more about the award, you can read more here!

Exam Season…

Well… after that, all the excitement and potential happiness just disappears…

Starting Monday the Fourteenth of May, more commonly known as My Birthday… Is the beginning of GCSE season. Starting with a two hour RE exam in the afternoon, America’s ‘sweet sixteen’ has obviously lost all meaning at this point. But, to look on the bright side, since I no longer take computer science I’ll just have the one exam… not three hours worth, which is always a positive!

These continue until the fifteenth of June. This longer timeframe, in my opinion, is actually really good! You have the first three science exams BEFORE the May half term, where you could study the second half of the science exams which take place afterwards. Very well timed if you ask me!

Prom.

Two weeks after all of the exams had finished, that being the end of June, there will, of course, be the end of year prom! With any luck, I’ll be able to suit up quite nicely!

Summer & Beyond.

For those of you who don’t live in the U.K., you might not know that after your exams have finished you have one big, long Summer which in my case is around two and half months long!

at the beginning of which, I take a week-long trip to the Canary Islands, spanning from the Third of July to the Eleventh for a week filled with relaxation and bliss; the bliss, of course, I’ll be documenting most of right here on wannabeauthor.com

After that, I really have no idea. It’s one big, long Summer where to be honest, I don’t have many plans in the works. Like most of us, I’m hoping to get a Summer job. Hopefully, continue to write, but all around just enjoy my time off before returning to wherever it is I’m headed in September.

After that, It’ll be time for Winter. I’ll leave it a secret, for now. But in the second week of December, there is one more holiday listed for this year and I cannot wait to share that experience with all of you!

A happy note to end on.

Before we end of, I’d like to thank you all so, so much for reading. It means so much to me that you’d do so, but most importantly no matter what it is you get up to the rest of the year? Make it fun, make it memorable and make it worth it. Thank you so much for reading and I absolutely hope to see you all Sunday!

Stay happy,

Josh.p
